The odds aren’t good for the Titans

The Titans are now 400 to 1 longshots to win the Super Bowl this season, according to Bodog Sportsbook. Only eight teams have greater odds against them. The Redskins are at 500 to 1 and the Bills are 1,000 to 1. Six teams – Cleveland, Detroit, Kansas City, Oakland, St. Louis and Tampa Bay – face 5,000 to 1 odds.

Twenty three teams have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl, according to Bodog, with the Saints being the favorites at 3 to 1.

Twelve AFC teams have better records than the Titans. Four of them will earn playoff berths by winning their divisions, leaving two wildcard berths. The Titans will have to leapfrog seven teams ahead of them for the final wildcard spot.

Odds on a lot of other things are better than the odds facing the Titans. Among them are

Chris Johnson rushing for 2,000 yards
Vince Young returning next year
Jeff Fisher not returning next year

I wouldn’t mind seeing all three of those happen.

I don’t think Bodog has odds on Young or Fisher returning but they do have a line on CJ rushing for 2,000 yards:
Yes +800
No -1600

We’ll be tracking CJ throughout the season in his quest for 2,000. He looks a lot more likely to achieve that than the other things happening.

Happy Veterans Day to all the men and women who have served our country.
