Titans/Lions Q&A exchange: Part I

In Part I of this week’s question and answer exchange, I’ll answer five questions sent to me from Al Beaton of MVN’s The Wayne Fontes Experience. My answers to Al’s great questions are after the jump.

Titans/Lions Q&A exchange

It’s a short week so we’ll prepare for our upcoming Q&A exchange a little earlier than usual. Al Beaton of The Wayne Fontes Experience is MVN’s resident Detroit Lions’ writer and I will be picking his brains for some in-depth information on the winless Lions. In return, I’ll answer his questions regarding the 10-1 Tennessee […]

Monday morning reflections on Titans vs Jets

A good offense and a good defense both showed up at LP Field yesterday, but neither of them were wearing two-tone blue. Give credit to the Jets — they were the better team yesterday and they proved it convincingly.   The Jets looked better than their fourth-place ranking in rushing defense and their ninth-place ranking in rushing. The […]

Perfect no more: Jets bomb Titans 34-13

I guess that old proverb was right: all good things do come to an end. For the first time this season, the Tennessee Titans experienced the agony of defeat in today’s 34-13 loss to Brett Favre and the New York Jets. New York set the tone from the beginning, as they marched down the field […]

Titans-Jets Inactives, Live Chat

As I did last week, I’ll be managing a live chat on today’s game, starting around noon CT.  Check back about then.  I’ll be freely approving comments, so long as you keep it clean.  K?-thanks.

Pregame thoughts on Titans vs Jets

This may be the last time we’ll be able to see Brett Favre play at LP Field. When it looked like he wouldn’t be with the Packers when they would come to Nashville this year, I was disappointed. When he signed with the Jets, I started looking forward to this game.   It’s the third […]

Titans make roster moves at CB

Last night, the Tennessee Titans made a couple of roster moves at CB. Veteran Tyrone Poole was signed and practice-squadder Tuff Harris was promoted to the team’s active roster. Poole and Harris will replace injured Titan cornerbacks Eric King and Reynaldo Hill, who were both placed on injured reserve.

Jets vs. Titans: Keys to victory

The Tennessee Titans will look to keep their perfect record untainted as they face off against Brett Favre’s New York Jets this weekend. Playing against a team that hails from the media capital of the United States, Sunday’s contest provides the Titans with a chance to prove their worth to a national audience. The Jets […]

Titans fans, what are your questions about the Jets?

Thanks to Joe Caporoso, who writes for The Cockpit, the New York Jets website on MVN. Joe has agreed to participate in a question and answer exchange with us about this week’s Titans-Jets game.   What questions do you have about the Jets, which you’d like to be answered from a Jets’ blogger’s point of […]

Chris Johnson: Change of pace, or primary back?

In a July radio interview, a not-so-cryptic Mike Heimerdinger expressed his desire for Chris Johnson to carry the football 15-20 times a game. Like smaller runners such as Clinton Portis before him, in Dinger’s mind, CJ was the type of back who could withstand the punishment that comes with the territory of being a primary […]

A Perfect 10-0! Titans rally to defeat Jags 24-14

Similar to an old Dickens’ novel, today’s Titans-Jags game was a tale of two halves. After falling behind 14-3 at intermission, the resilient Tennessee Titans shut out Jacksonville 21-0 in the second half during their convincing 24-14 victory. More thoughts on the Titans reaching the 10-0 mark, after the jump.
